310S/309S stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, making it the first choice for various industries. It can withstand temperatures up to 980°C. This stainless steel is mainly used in applications such as boilers and the chemical industry. It is worth noting that 309 stainless steel does not contain any sulfur (S) content compared to 309S.
310s Stainless Steel Grade
The corresponding grade of 310S stainless steel in China is 06Cr25Ni20. In the US, the standard designations for this stainless steel are 310S, AISI and ASTM. The JIS G4305 standard specifies this stainless steel as "SUS", and in Europe, it is specified as 1.4845. These various brand and standard designations are used to identify and classify the specific properties and characteristics of 310S stainless steel for different industries and applications.
310S is an austenitic stainless steel that contains chromium and nickel and has excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion. The high proportion of these elements also increases the creep strength of 310S, enabling it to withstand high temperatures for extended periods of time. Additionally, 310S has good high temperature resistance, making it a solid choice for a variety of applications requiring heat resistance.
309s Stainless Steel Grade
The domestic corresponding grade is 06Cr23Ni13. It is also known as American Standard S30908, AISI, ASTM. According to JIS G4305 standard, referred to as SUS. In Europe, it is considered 1.4833.
309S is a sulfur-free stainless steel. It is typically used in applications requiring excellent free machinability as well as a smooth surface finish.
309S is a low carbon stainless steel designed specifically for welding applications. The low carbon content helps minimize the formation of carbide precipitates in the heat-affected zone near the weld, thereby reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion in certain environments, such as those prone to weld erosion.
